The M Diamond Ranch is the most unique location for your next celebration, wedding or corporate event.  We are located in the quiet, peaceful foothills of the Mogollon Rim, which is the geological feature that creates Sedona, with spectacular views of the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff, the old mining town of Jerome, Sedona and the entire Verde Valley.  And yet, we are close to Sedona area resorts, amenities and services, making us the perfect choice for your next special occasion.

We have hosted all kinds of events over the past 10 years, but our goal for each one is that everyone feels relaxed and comfortable.  Guests enjoy world-class sunsets, ranked number 2 in the world by Trip Advisor, and dark starry skies.  You can even add star gazing guided by professional astronomers with years of experience.  They use state of the art telescopes and high powered laser pointers to guide you around the night sky.  Our clear dark nights make for outstanding viewing conditions.

One of the most popular events at our ranch, for both corporate and private parties is the evening “Ranch Rendezvous”  Cowboy Cookout.  With great food, casual or upscale dining, western swing or line dancing instruction, themed entertainment, and the spectacular beauty of Sedona and the Verde Valley as a backdrop, our western cookouts provide a memorable experience for every guest.  We have your all-weather backup of a covered dining patio and the option of additional tents, and a caterer of your choice, if you desire.

Chuckwagon Cooking

A truly unique and authentic option for your event is Chuckwagon Cooking, featuring a historically correct, fully outfitted chuckwagon and Dutch Oven cooking.  Just like the wagons that fed the cowboy crews on the old cattle drives!  This wagon travels for Chuckwagon Cooking competitions, but spends much of its time at a neighboring ranch, where the owners work raising cattle.  So the cooks and cooking are as authentic as the wagon!  Everything is made from scratch with explanations as you watch, and cooked in Dutch Ovens over an open fire.  Like the M Diamond, everything about this reflects western history and heritage and is the real deal!

Weddings and Special Events

Weddings and Special events are truly beautiful and each one is different.  We will host your special day with as much western flair as you want, whether yours is a small, casual party or a more formal event.  We work hard to ensure that your wedding will be special and remembered as a treasured time in your lives.  Our guests have found the evening Ranch Rendezvous a perfect rehearsal dinner or after-wedding party to a Sedona destination wedding.  And, we can provide a wide variety of wonderful horse-drawn carriages, carts and wagons to make your special occasion, extra special.  As with your whole event, these can be casual and western or more formal, but definitely unique!

Kids’ Birthday Parties

We give kids of all ages a pony for their birthday!

Our Ranch Adventure Day is a great all-inclusive birthday package for kids 7 and older.   If you wish, we can shorten the trail ride, or substitute “pony rides” – it’s your party and we’ll do it your way.  You can even add a “sleep-over” in the Little Gem Guest House – girls especially love that!  For kids under 7, we do pony rides and cart rides with miniature horses, and we have a small petting zoo.

The porch at our trailride cabin is the perfect place for ice cream and cake, or you can rent our outdoor cookout site with horseshoe pits and hay bale roping.  We will cook the menu of your choice, or you can bring food and party goods with you.  Groups big or small, young or old, we will customize your party to your needs and budget.

And really, what kid doesn’t want a pony for their birthday?!

For group event planners…

If you are an event planner, we will do everything we can to make your event a unique and memorable one. Experience has shown and our guests say that our Cowboy Cookout steak dinner is the best meal they’ve had in Sedona, so we strongly suggest sticking with that as the foundation of your event. Unless you specify otherwise, food is self-serve, buffet -style using paper goods and metal utensils. We can offer dinnerware and linen upgrades, servers to bus food and dishes, liquor/bar/bartenders. And of course western entertainment: horse and pony rides, wagon rides, roping lessons, horse shoes, western bands and events in our full size, lighted arena such as team penning and Ranch Rodeo.

What you and your guests
should know about us:

We are a working cattle ranch down a dirt road in the Coconino National Forest. Outdoor areas are unpaved and guests will be comfortable in casual clothes and sturdy shoes. We have standard toilet facilities, but large groups and location of activities may require the addition of port-a-potties. Our incredible starry skies are protected by requirements for minimal outdoor lighting, but additional lanterns are available by advance request for dining, and special activities may require additional temporary lighting for safety. We bid guests goodnight at 10 p.m.to protect the wildlife that comes out at night.
